At Social Butterflies Activities & Learning we continue to operate with our COVID 19 Safety Plan as required by our Provincial Health Officer. However as recently announced by the provincial government, beginning April 8, 2022, at 12:01am businesses will no longer follow COVID 19 Safety Plans. Instead, we will then transition to following Communicable Disease Guidance from WorkSafe BC.

Employees and those who enter our facilities must:

• Stay home if unwell, present symptoms of COVID 19, or are required to self isolate.

• Complete a Covid-19 Self Assessment before entering any of our centres or arriving on shift.

• Masks are encouraged when in close proximity to clients, families or other employees, however we respect that it is a personal choice for all.  *Should you request your child's BI, BCBA, or EA wear a mask when working with your child, please contact the office.

• Practice good hand hygiene and respiratory etiquette.

• If symptom’s develop part way through a session, employees know to inform management and families and leave immediately.

 

Facility Access:

• Access into SB premise continues to be limited to staff and children. We request that children wait in vehicle with parents until their BI comes out to meet you.

• If parents wish to speak to administrator or management, please call the office for an appointment. Social Butterflies Activities and Learning Ltd. staff are doing the vast majority of parent meetings virtually.

• Only when necessary and by appointment are there in-person meetings. We ask parents/guardians to please use the front door access for such appointments at Seymour Centre.

All of Social Butterflies Activities and Learning Ltd.’s in-person sites require daily screening and are limiting site capacity. We continue to recommend masks and physical distancing whenever possible, while respecting personal choice of the individual/ family. Our staff continue to encourage and facilitate reduced class sizes where possible. We are promoting extra hand hygiene (washing and sanitizing), and have limited the use of shared equipment and/or are cleaning and disinfecting between uses. Commonly used areas are also being cleaned and sanitized daily.

 

 

We encourage families to follow the guidelines from Public Health and isolate or self monitor as directed. Whether you test positive for COVID 19 or have symptoms related to COVID 19, we ask that you stay home to reduce any potential spread. Should a child or client seem to present or develop symptoms throughout their individual session or day, a guardian may be called to pickup early. Social Butterflies Activities and Learning Ltd. is continually monitoring PHO orders and updates and will ensure we are meeting/ exceeding the guidelines set out by The Public Health Officer, and WorkSafe BC.
